JOB TITLE : PROJECT / SITE ENGINEER

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Project/Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing construction projects, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications. This role involves coordinating on-site activities, conducting inspections, resolving technical issues, and collaborating with project managers, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders. The Project/Site Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety requirements. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support construction works management in terms of site planning, affected internal stakeholder coordination during execution of site activities and commissioning works involved in assigned project.
  • Check plans, setting out, levelling, and surveying locations, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of constructions.
  • Ensure technical designs and drawings are applied correctly during constructions.
  • Ensure all project practices and material installations meet the quality and contractual specification requirements.
  • Coordinate and review of project technical specifications, submission of technical documents, inspection test plans, quality plan and to establish monitoring records for technical activities.
  • Monitor project site matters and coordinate all site inspection activities, engaging in matters related to project NCR and Corrective / Preventive Actions.
  • Mitigate and resolve asap any unexpected site problems that may occur or problem associated with quality control during the project progress immediately.
  • Ensure construction technical submissions review for approval are close within 5 days, proper maintenance of quality records data and completion of inspection and test documents.
  • Work with supervisors to ensure safety compliance and the creation of a safe construction working environment.
  • Assist in site verification works for contractor’s progress claims.
  • Render supports assistance to Environmental Officer in fieldworks data acquisitions.
  • Responsible to ensure the requirements of contract Safety Management System at construction site are implemented.
  • Review contractor’s Safety Management System in order to introduce improvement and amendments as to reflect changing work situation and progress at site.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years of project sites working experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Additional knowledge in planning / engineering software will be an added advantage.
  • Possess good interpersonal, communication, technical writing skills and great team player.
  • Willing to work additional hours to meet datelines
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management
  • Strong leadership, technical project management skills across major marine and coastal works environment.
